Missouri needs a governor with experience

Posted

To the editor:

The primary elections will be here soon. There are many ads for a newcomer running for governor of Missouri. It is surprising that a person who has not served in elected office would choose to run for the top job as his first state elective office. He uses employees to praise him and his qualities in private enterprise forgetting that success in a complex state takes more than good will but includes knowing how our government works.

Crystal Quade is running for Missouri’s governor after serving many years in the Missouri General Assembly. Her latest office held is minority leader. She has learned our system of law and order from the ground up. She is current on our important issues including taxes, education, environment, infrastructure. Learning how to get things done in Jefferson City has been a key to her success along with the vital skill of knowing the people that work in the many departments and agencies in the business of running our great state.

Teamwork is the key for success in running the many aspects of our state. Crystal Quade has developed the skill of working with teams.
