Roadwork is planned on highways in Shannon and Howell counties over the next two weeks, announce officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation.
A Highway will be reduced to one lane from Highway 19 in Shannon County to Dent County Road 5700 near Bunker while MoDOT crews perform shoulder repairs. The work is planned to take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily through Friday.
In Howell County, WW Highway from Highway 17 to County Road 2660 near Mtn. View will undergo several culvert replacements by MoDOT crews, making it necessary for the road to be closed as work is underway. That work is planned to begin Jan. 1 and continue from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Jan. 12.
Work will be done on both projects as weather permits.
Work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
