MSU-WP faculty recognized with appointments, tenure

several faculty members at Missouri State University-West Plains received appointments or promotions or were granted tenure during the 2022-2023 academic year. They were recognized recently during the Jan. 29 Employee Recognition Luncheon at the West Plains Civic Center. From left are MSU-WP Chancellor Dennis Lancaster; ReBena Atkinson, appointed Program Director/Instructor of the Associate of Arts in Teaching degree program; Lacey Campell, promoted to Assistant Professor of Nursing; and MSU System President Clif Smart. Other faculty appointments included Gabriel Foster, Lecturer of Welding and Fabrication Technology; Whitney Kelley, Lecturer of Environmental Sciences (China); Jenni Roberts, Instructor of Nursing; and Hannah Suggs, Lecturer of Communications (China). Dr. Rajiv Thakur was promoted to Professor of Geosciences, and Dr. Sharath Rongali, Assistant Professor of Biology, was granted tenure.
