MVGC announces August Yard of the Month

Fay Mayberry, 228 Sharp St. in Mtn. View, is the recipient of the Mountain View Garden Club’s August Yard of the Month recognition. Mayberry and her husband, who have lived at the corner of Y Highway and Sharp Street for a year, were awarded the honor for her vibrant garden displays. Despite having never grown roses prior to moving to the home, Mayberry now tends nearly three dozen bushes, including a row of red Knockout roses along the driveway fence, as well as maroon celosia, mandevilla vines, Asiatic lilies and potted tomato plants on the front porch. “Fay’s flowers have certainly brightened up the corner of Highway Y and Sharp Street,” said club President Robi Tanner. “Thank you, Fay.”
