Local businesses and organizations can now showcase their brands while supporting historic preservation and downtown development through the newly launched Downtown Banner Sponsorship Program.
Organized by West Plains Downtown Revitalization, the initiative offers double-sided street banners featuring the West Plains Downtown logo alongside individual sponsor logos. Annual sponsorships are set at $300 per banner, providing 365 days of continuous exposure.
"Downtown businesses and organizations have long been partners in the revitalization of our historic downtown," said Downtown Coordinator Emily Edwards-Long. "This program creates an affordable opportunity for businesses to promote their brand while making a visible investment in the place that brings our community together."
The banners will be installed in late November 2026 and remain on display through late November 2027. Displayed along high-traffic downtown routes, the banners are estimated to reach between 1,800 and 4,000 vehicles daily, in addition to pedestrian foot traffic.
Priority enrollment is open exclusively to businesses and organizations located within the Downtown District through Sept. 15. Beginning Sept. 16, any remaining banner slots will be opened to businesses and organizations across the greater West Plains area.
Sponsors may select a first- and second-choice street location within the district during registration. While organizers will make every effort to honor placement requests, specific locations cannot be guaranteed.
The banners were designed by West Plains graphic designer Ron Kerns and will be printed locally by downtown merchant KMC Creations. The City of West Plains will handle installation. Sponsors are asked to submit high-resolution logo files — such as vector, PDF, EPS, AI, SVG or high-resolution PNG formats — when registering.
Sponsorships are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Existing sponsors will be offered early renewal opportunities for subsequent years before open enrollment begins.
