Ann Marie Newberry has joined the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors.
Newberry, a West Plains native, was born at Ozarks Healthcare and has spent most of her life in the area. She and her husband own Newberry Sales, a family-run business where both of their daughters are also involved. She also serves as senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at West Plains Bank and Trust Company.
“I am a firm believer that you get out of something what you put into it,” Newberry said. “We all have a responsibility to use our talents when we see opportunities to make something better.”
Newberry’s connection to Ozarks Healthcare includes both personal and professional ties. She and members of her family were born at the hospital, and she previously worked in its public relations and clinic administration departments. She has also worked with the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation through fundraising initiatives.
“I hope to engage with and learn from the professionals who have dedicated their careers to the health of our community and do my part to increase awareness and generate support,” Newberry said.
“Ann Marie brings a deep understanding of our community, strong leadership experience and a genuine passion for supporting local health care,” said Ozarks Healthcare Director of Development and Advocacy Josh Reeves. “Her professional background and personal connection to Ozarks Healthcare make her an excellent addition to the Foundation Board, and we are excited to have her voice and perspective helping guide our mission.”
Ozarks Healthcare CEO Terence Farrell said the Foundation supports patient care across the organization.
“The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation is an essential partner in helping us enhance and expand the care we provide to our communities,” Farrell said. “Through the generosity of donors and the leadership of its board, the Foundation helps fund critical programs, services and equipment that directly impact our patients every day. We are grateful to have Ann Marie joining this dedicated group of advocates.”
Newberry said community members can support the Foundation in several ways, including volunteering, donating to or purchasing from the thrift stores, sharing personal stories, attending events or making purchases from the coffee shop in the hospital lobby.
“There are endless ways to ensure that local access to health care services continues, and anyone can help,” she said.
