Ozark Action (OAI) recently received a $25,000 grant from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks to support its regional workforce services.

The funding, provided through the Coover Charitable Foundation and Trust, is part of the Coover Regional Resiliency Grants program. The initiative awarded 23 grants totaling $500,000 to rural school districts and nonprofit organizations that serve low-income families financially impacted by the loss or reduction of state or federal funding.

Ozark Action will use the $25,000 to provide job training cost assistance and supportive resources to low-income individuals across its six-county service region.

"This grant is a vital investment in our service area, and will allow us to remove financial barriers to job training so people can pursue meaningful careers and economic independence," Ozark Action Executive Director Terry Sanders said. "We appreciate our regional partners who continue to recognize the important work OAI and other agencies conduct in the region that sometimes gets overlooked."
