Ozarks Summit, a West Plains-based nonprofit that offers faith-based youth and family services, is now collaborating with another faith-based organization that has expanded its reach globally. Ozarks Summit President and Founder Jared Cates has announced its new partnership with Springfield-based Convoy of Hope to serve as a regional resource distribution point host, expanding access to food and essential supplies in the area.
Through this partnership, Ozarks Summit will receive large-scale shipments of resources and serve as a central hub for local distribution. Cates said the nonprofit will build and coordinate a growing network of local churches that will regularly pick up and deliver these resources directly into their communities.
This collaborative model is designed to strengthen the role of churches in addressing vulnerabilities and meeting real needs while fostering unity across the region. Officials said that by working together, churches will be equipped to serve families, schools, nonprofits and other areas of need with greater consistency and impact.
“We believe the church is called to build relationships and be a channel of blessing to their community," Cates said. “Serving as a host site allows us to not only receive resources, but to mobilize churches across the region to go out and meet needs in a powerful, unified way.”
Each distribution will support a wide range of outreach efforts, including addressing food insecurity, supporting local schools, strengthening nonprofit initiatives and caring for families navigating difficult seasons. Ozarks Summit will also collaborate with community leaders to identify needs and ensure resources are directed where they can make the greatest impact.
Cates said the partnership represents a significant step forward in Ozarks Summit’s mission to unite churches and organizations to advance “God’s Kingdom through collaborative action and bringing tangible hope to communities throughout the Ozarks.”
