Ozarks Summit launches building renovation project

Posted

Ozarks Summit has launched a building renovation project to transform the former First General Baptist Church facility into a community resource center dedicated to strengthening families and serving the region.

The 4,200-square-foot facility at 409 Joe Jones Blvd. in West Plains will become a place where churches, community partners and families can come together to find hope healing and support, said Ozarks Summit founder and President Jared Cates. The renovated space will provide opportunities for family resources, mentoring, community gatherings and future initiatives focused on helping vulnerable families move from crisis toward Christ-centered wholeness, he added.

“This project is about much more than renovating a building,” said Cates. “It is about creating a place where our community can come together to serve families, build relationships and offer hope to those who need it most.”

Organization leaders believe lasting change happens when churches, organizations and people unite around a shared mission. Through partnerships and compassion-driven action, the organization is working to create a place where families can access support, experience community and discover pathways toward restoration.

Renovations are now underway, with Koon Construction serving as the general contractor for the project. Local volunteers, businesses, churches and community members are invited to be part of the effort. The project represents an opportunity for the entire community to invest in a resource that will impact families for years to come.

Ozarks Summit is seeking financial partners to help complete the renovation and prepare the facility for community use.
