October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, but the Christmas season is just around the corner.
A holiday-themed paint party to benefit Christos House, a nonprofit domestic violence services provider, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Magnolia Room of the West Plains Civic Center, 110 St. Louis Street.
The cost to participate is $40, and participants will create a 16-inch by 20-inch canvas painting of a red antique farm truck with a Christmas tree in the back. The event will be instructed by Tara Shahan.
