Recent crashes injure three area residents

A Mtn. Grove resident was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday on west U.S. 60, a quarter-mile west of Norwood in Wright County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol

Tpr. T.L. Sullivan with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported an eastbound 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Richard A. Milder, 27, Springfield, was merging into highway traffic and struck an eastbound 2021 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Phillip J. Emling, 32, Mtn. Grove. The impact caused the Chevrolet to go off the right side of the road and into an embankment, Sullivan reported.

The report shows both men were wearing seat belts, and Emling was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment of minor injuries. No injuries were reported for Milder.

Stephine N. Riedl-Rivera, 28, Houston, suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday on Dixon Road, 4 miles south of Licking in Texas County.

Tpr. J.L. Sentman reported a westbound 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Skye C. Marler, 24, Licking, ran off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole and overturned.

Riedl-Rivera, a passenger in the vehicle was taken by private vehicle to TCMH for treatment, the report shows; neither woman was wearing a seat belt. No injuries were reported for Marler.

A man from Bull Shoals, Ark., suffered minor injuries in a crash at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Henry County.

Cpl. R.C. West, with Troop A of the patrol, Lee’s Summit, reported Jacob Maxwell was the driver of a southbound 2001 Ford F150 that crossed the median and northbound lanes of Highway 7 in Urich, about 25 miles southeast of Harrisonville, and then struck an embankment.

Maxwell was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, and was taken by ambulance to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton.
