The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce has opened official registration for its upcoming 2026 Fourth of July Parade, anchoring a community-wide patriotic celebration to honor the 250th birthday of the U.S.

Organizers have set a goal of securing 250 individual parade entries, which would make the event one of the largest and most significant Independence Day processions in Willow Springs history. To maximize community involvement, chamber officials emphasized that entry is completely free and open to any group, business or individual wishing to participate.

“This parade is about celebrating our country, our community, and bringing people together,” chamber officials said in a statement. “We want this to be a true community-wide celebration, and no entry is too big, too small or too unique. If you want to celebrate America and Willow Springs, we want you in the parade.”

According to organizational guidelines, eligible entries include businesses, civic groups, religious institutions, nonprofit organizations, neighborhood associations and families. Local high school marching bands, athletic teams, cheerleading squads, dance groups, Scout troops and regional veterans organizations are also encouraged to join the lineup. Processional displays can feature traditional floats, classic cars, tractors, motorcycles, golf carts, horses and walking groups.

The parade will officially step off at 10 a.m. July 4. Lineup will begin at 9 a.m. at the Willow Springs High School parking lot, with all participating entries required to access the staging area off 10th Street near the football field. The parade route will travel from Ferguson Street down Main Street, and conclude at Booster Field.

Chamber officials urge local groups, residents and businesses to begin coordinating their themes and planning decorations immediately to create a display worthy of the national milestone.

Online entry forms are available through the chamber's digital portal at willowspringschamber/2026-4th-of-july-parade-entry-form.
