The Richards School Board is set to hold its monthly session at 6 p.m. Thursday in the school boardroom.
Following the consent agenda, the board will hear administrative reports from Principal Mick Price, Superintendent Dr. Melonie Bunn and Executive Administrator Jerry Premer.
A presentation of MAP assessment testing data will be presented to the board, and then filing dates for the April 2 school board election will be established.
A closed executive session will be held to discuss legal and employee matters prior to adjourning the meeting.
During the board’s last monthly meeting, held Oct. 17, program evaluations were given regarding Facilities and Safety and Instructional Programs, and both were approved unanimously.
A closed session was held, during which time staffing changes were voted on.
The board accepted the resignation of secretary Key Smith, and then voted to hire Melissa Mitchell as a year-round secretary beginning in the current school year. Approval was also given o hire Michelle Haney as an aide for the current school year.
Substitutes approved to work this school year were Kelli Vonallmen, with board President Ricky Vonallmen abstaining from the vote, and Bonnie Setliff, Montanna Forcum, Callen DePriest and Justin Wade.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned.
In addition to Vonallmen, board members resent for the session were Matt Barnes, Ray Murphy, Casey Whisenant and Gerald Smith. Jacob Deckard was absent.
School board meetings are open to the public.
