Ozarks Healthcare chaplains will host the third annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at 11 a.m. May 7. The event will take place outside the main entrance of Ozarks Healthcare on Kentucky Avenue and is open to the public.
The ceremony will bring together coworkers, community members and leaders for a time of reflection and prayer. Representatives from state government, city leadership, healthcare, military, law enforcement, emergency medical services, agriculture and education will each be recognized during the program, said officials.
This observance will be held in conjunction with the city of West Plains’ National Day of Prayer event scheduled for 1 p.m. at the People’s Park Pavilion, offering Ozarks Healthcare coworkers who may be unable to attend the community gathering an opportunity to participate in a meaningful service on campus.
“Our chaplain team is here to support our coworkers, patients and families in whatever they may be facing,” Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO Terence Farrell said. “Events like this provide a moment of connection, reflection and encouragement as we care for the whole person — mind, body and spirit.”
Ozarks Healthcare invites patients, families, staff and community members to attend and participate in the event.
