A 41-year-old West Plains man suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on east U.S. 160 at County Road 1120, 3 miles east of West Plains, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. N.G. Britt reported that at 4:27 p.m. July 28, a westbound 2001 Honda Shadow ridden by the man crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2002 Ford F-150 driven by a 57-year-old man from Mtn. View.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, where he was pronounced dead at 5:18 p.m. by Dr. Dana Kenney, the report shows.
No injuries were reported for the driver of the Ford, who wore a seat belt.
Britt was assisted at the scene by Msgt. T.W. Meyer and Cpl. K.R. Waters with the patrol’s Major Crash Investigation Unit.
This marks the 18th traffic fatality for the year in the nine-county Troop G area, compared to 20 in the same time frame in 2025.
