Where is the best place to buy that special someone a dozen roses? Where is the best place to go when you’re craving some barbecue or an adult beverage? What nonprofit do you think does the most for our communities?
Readers are invited to weigh in with their answers to those questions and plenty more in the West Plains Daily Quill 2023 Best of West Plains Reader’s Choice Awards, in which the Quill’s readers decide who’s got the best of everything from pizza to fried chicken and from furniture to auto body repair.
This year, there are several new categories, including Best Live Music Venue, Best Romantic Getaway, Best Local Auto Salesman, Best Museum, Best Tattoo Shop, Best Craft Brewery and Best Public Park, to name just a few.
These awards are annual winter project for the West Plains Daily Quill, and starting in early January, we asked readers to nominate their favorites online at www.westplainsdailyquill.net. The nomination period closed Jan. 19, and today marks the beginning of the voting period.
Votes may be cast once daily through March 1. All votes must be submitted online at westplainsdailyquill.net/bestofwestplains; there are no paper ballots this year. Voters must register an email address for their votes to be counted.
Winners and results will be published March 23 online on the Quill’s website and in that day’s West Plains Gazette weekend edition.
