West Plains R-7 School District has tapped two veteran educators for new leadership roles
effective July 1. Former Koshkonong superintendent Seth Bryant will return to the district as the
coordinator of at-risk services and Zizzer Pride Academy (ZPA) director, while longtime district
educator Camisha Hunter has been named assistant principal of West Plains Middle School.
Bryant Returns to R-7
Bryant brings extensive administrative experience back to West Plains, most recently serving as
the superintendent of the Oregon-Howell R-3 School District in Koshkonong. In that capacity, he
managed district operations, budgets and major facility improvement projects.
His previous tenure in the R-7 district included serving as an assistant principal at West Plains
Middle School. During that time, he worked to establish positive behavior initiatives and systems
to support student achievement, district officials said.
"Seth Bryant’s years of experience in school administration bring a level of leadership and
perspective that will directly benefit our students and staff," said district Superintendent Wesley
Davis. "His extensive time serving in administrative roles has prepared him well to lead at-risk
services and the Zizzer Pride Academy with both skill and compassion.”
Hunter Promoted to Middle School Leadership

Hunter transitions to the middle school administrative team following a 24-year career in
education, much of it spent at South Fork Elementary. In addition to her classroom leadership,
Hunter has served as a mentor to fellow educators and contributed to districtwide curriculum
development.
"Camisha Hunter has been a valued and consistent presence in our district for many years,"
Davis said. "Her longevity with West Plains Schools speaks to her dedication, her strong
relationships with students and families, and her unwavering commitment to helping students
succeed.”
Hunter also represents the region on the Missouri Advisory Council of Certification for
Educators, collaborating with state leaders on educator preparation standards.
