Willow Springs man injured in Friday motorcycle crash

A 44-year-old Willow Springs man suffered moderate injuries in a motorcycle crash at 5:35 p.m. Friday on County Road 3380, 4 miles east of Willow Springs in Howell County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tpr. J.S. Cunningham, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a westbound 1999 Harley Davidson ridden by the man ran off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox.

The rider was not wearing a helmet and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows.

 

Two from West Plains injured in Friday collision

A 27-year-old West Plains woman and a 37-year-old West Plains man suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 12:57 p.m. Friday on south U.S. 63 at ZZ Highway near West Plains.

Tpr. N.G. Britt reported a northbound 2013 Chevrolet Sonic driven by a 42-year-old West Plains woman failed to yield and was struck on the driver’s side by a southbound 2016 Kia Cadenza driven by the 27-year-old woman.

The driver of the Kia suffered moderate injuries, and the 37-year-old male passenger in the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt, and both were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment, the report shows.

No injuries were reported for the driver of the Chevrolet, who was wearing a seat belt. Britt was assisted at the scene by Msgt. T.W. Meyer.

 

West Plains man injured in Friday semi-truck rollover

A 63-year-old West Plains man suffered moderate injuries when his semi-truck rolled over at 11:30 a.m. Friday on E Highway, 5 miles south of South Fork.

Msgt. Meyer reported a 2003 Kenworth W900 driven by the man ran off the road, overcorrected and overturned.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment, the report shows. Meyer was assisted at the scene by Tpr. Britt.

 

Woman hurt in Saturday Texas Co. crash

A 23-year-old Hartshorn woman suffered minor injuries in a crash at 7:20 p.m. Saturday on B Highway, 4 miles east of Raymondville in Texas County.

Tpr. J.L. Sentman reported a westbound 2010 Chevrolet Silverado driven by the woman crossed the centerline, overcorrected, ran off the right side of the road and struck several trees.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment, the report shows.

Sentman was assisted at the scene by Cpl. S.J. Crewse and Cpl. T.L. Brown.

 

Crash in Kosh injures WP woman

A 41-year-old West Plains woman suffered moderate injuries in a crash at 6:15 a.m. Thursday on south U.S. 63 at Forest Street in Koshkonong.

Tpr. Britt reported a southbound 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by the woman ran off the road, struck an embankment, became airborne and struck a tree.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by EMS to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment, the report shows.

 

Three injured in Thursday chain-reaction crash near West Plains

Three people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash at 8:15 a.m. Thursday on CC Highway, a half-mile west of West Plains in Howell County.

Tpr. Britt reported an eastbound 2007 Honda Ridgeline driven by a 20-year-old Gainesville man rear-ended an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 36-year-old Cabool woman. The Chevrolet had stopped behind a Kershaw SkyTrim tree trimmer that was making a left turn, and the impact pushed the Chevrolet into the tree trimmer.

The driver of the Chevrolet suffered moderate injuries, and her passenger, a 51-year-old man from Stilwell, Okla., suffered minor injuries, the report shows; the driver of the Honda also suffered minor injuries. All three were reportedly taken by EMS to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.

Both injured drivers were wearing seat belts. Seat belt use for the passenger in the Chevrolet and the driver of the tree trimmer is unknown.

Britt was assisted at the scene by Msgt. Meyer and Cpl. J.D. Wheeler.

 

Eminence man seriously injured in Thursday Phelps Co. collision

A 59-year-old Eminence man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 3 p.m. Thursday at Highway 72 and County Road 5285 in Phelps County.

Tpr. C.A. Clinton, with Troop I of the patrol, Rolla, reported a westbound 2003 Ford F-150 driven by a 19-year-old Rolla man failed to yield and collided with an eastbound 2012 Chevrolet Impala driven by the Eminence man.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The Eminence man was flown by Phelps Health Air to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Ford.
