WP City Council reschedules special session for Tuesday

The West Plains City Council delayed a special meeting, initially scheduled for Monday night, due to hazardous road conditions. It has been postponed until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 1910 Holiday Lane.

Business to be considered are consent agenda items including the acceptance of a bid for the purchase and installation of service bodies for two Utility Department vehicles from Knapheide at $38,390 for both.

Bids will be considered for a Galloway Creek project meant to improve stormwater detention and drainage, submitted by John Adams Construction, West Plains Bridge and Grading, and R.L. Persons Construction.

Council members will also be called upon to vote on bids for the purchase of 75,000 gallons of reserve diesel fuel for a generator. Bids were submitted from West Plains Propane, Naegler Oil and MFA.

The last item on the agenda is another bid, for the labor involved in the construction and relocation of power lines related to three projects, the installation of a line from the West Plains 3 Substation to Lanton Road, and relocations at the U.S. 160 overpass and the St. Louis Street bridge.
