W.P. Home & Garden Show starts Friday

Posted

The 32nd annual West Plains Home & Garden Show is just under a week away.

The exhibition show will open at 3 p.m. Friday in the West Plains Civic Center arena and exhibit hall and run through 8 p.m. before closing down for the day, then reopen at 9 a.m. March 2, running through 5 p.m.

The cost to attend is $5 for a two-day pass. Children 12 and younger are admitted free of charge. Attendees will be eligible to win door prizes.

New and returning exhibitors will showcase products and services for home renovation, security, landscaping and gardening, all under a common theme: “Creating strong communities, one building at a time.”

The show is coordinated by the Southern Missouri Builders Association each year. The group aims to organize builders, contractors and others in the building community and work as a trade group for members’ mutual benefit. Its goals include public education regarding the benefits of using professional builders, promoting professionalism within the trade industry and working toward improving economic development and quality of life in the region.
