The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce will host a Trunk or Treat event from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Booster Field.
Those looking to set up vehicles to pass out candy should contact the chamber office before the start of the event by calling 417-469-5519 or emailing willowspringschamber@gmail.com.
Participating children will have the opportunity to “Trunk or Treat” and enjoy several activities under the pavilion, said chamber Director Kim McCormick, and the Willow Springs Lions Club will give free hayrides. Toddlers on the hayrides must be accompanied by an adult.
Cadets with the Willow Springs Police Department will have hot dogs, chips and water for sale as a fundraiser to help them pay for uniforms, equipment and training. The cost will be $4 for a meal deal or $2.50 for hot dogs and $1 each for chips and water.
Willow Springs High School Future Business Leaders of America will sell s’mores as a fundraiser for the organization: build-your-own s’mores will be $2 and the option to add an extra topping will be available for $1 more. The high school Photography Club will host a photo booth fundraiser, as well.
Robert Hollis-Shelter Insurance will sponsor free face painting and Children’s Behavioral Services will have games for the kids to play to win candy prizes.
A costume contest sponsored by Waggoner True Value Home Center will begin at 6:30 p.m. with three age groups: infants to age 5, 5 to 12 and 13 and older.
