Two West Plains High School students earned top honors at the 2026 National Senior Beta Convention held June 16 through Saturday at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Maren Thompson, a senior, secured fourth place in the national pottery division. The honor marks a career milestone for Thompson, who has placed in the top four nationally during all four of her high school years.
Sophomore Macey Lambe was selected as a Premier Performer and danced during the convention's opening ceremony. Lambe also showcased her talents on the national competitive stage by performing a contemporary solo routine to the song “Paint it Black.”
"We are so proud of you, Macey and Maren," West Plains R-7 Activities Director Ashley Cooley said. "Thank you for representing West Plains High School Beta so well."
