The quilt measures 81 inches by 81 inches, appropriate for a queen or full-size bed. Tickets are available at Gainesville area banks and the Senior Center in Gainesville in August and September, and also at the Hootin an Hollarin Quilt Show. “This is an important part of our heritage here in the Ozarks and a highlight of the Hootin and Hollarin Festival,” said Bentele, noting quilts are created by artisans age 9 to 90, men and women. Quilts must never have been shown in this show before and may be entered from 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sept. 17 on the east side of the Gainesville square, next door to Pandora’s Petals. Look for the Quilt Show banner. Antique quilts may be entered for display as space allows, but are not judged.
