The Baxter Health Foundation in Mtn. Home, Ark., has received a $270,000 planned gift from the Peter Peitz Trust to support the Peitz Cancer Support House.

The legacy gift will help fund the facility's ongoing services, providing care, comfort, and hope for individuals and families facing cancer. Made possible by the initial vision and generosity of Peter and Jan Peitz, the support house has served thousands of community members for more than 25 years.

"We are deeply grateful to Peter and Jan Peitz for helping bring this support house to fruition," said Sarah Edwards, executive director of the Baxter Health Foundation. "Peter's incredibly thoughtful legacy gift ensures that these vital services will continue for generations to come. His generous spirit will live on through every life this Support House touches".

To honor his lasting impact, a dedicated space within the Peitz Cancer Support House features a photograph of Peter Peitz as a permanent memorial.

In light of the gift, the Baxter Health Foundation is inviting community members inspired by the Peitz family to consider joining the Legacy Society. The society allows individuals to plan future gifts to ensure their generosity makes a difference for future generations.
