Posted

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) has released a draft of its BEAD Initial Proposal Volume 2 for public comment and is requesting public feedback.

Missouri’s Initial Proposal will guide $1.7 billion in spending for new broadband deployment. Initial Proposal Volume 2 includes the state’s plan for how broadband projects will be awarded and monitored. The comment period for Volume 2 will remain open until Dec. 15.

The Public Input Survey regarding the draft can be completed online at moexperience.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8ByEB8ou9Mvz4Sq. A link to the draft proposal is included at the top of the survey.

Comment is still open on Initial Proposal Volume 1, which lays out the rules that will determine which locations qualify for BEAD funding, and Missouri’s Digital Opportunity Plan, which addresses non-infrastructure barriers to internet access. Complete the first proposal survey at moexperience.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_24wCjqrKpmca9pQ. Both surveys link to the relevant proposals for reference.
