Christos House 'Take Back the Night' reservation deadline Friday
Friday is the deadline to reserve seats for the Christos House "Take Back the Night" banquet, scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at the outreach center and resale shop, 125 Jefferson Ave. in West Plains.
The event, which honors supporters and volunteers, will begin with a social hour and dinner, followed by a guest speaker and a candlelight vigil remembering victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Commission to review petition to vacate county road Monday
The Howell County Commission will review an application to vacate a county road during its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Monday. The meeting will be held in the conference room on the second floor of the county office building, 35 Court Square in West Plains. Commissioners will also review accounts payable and recognize guests. County Commission meetings are open to the public.
