Annual Wild Turkey Federation banquet is Jan. 20

The Current River Callers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will host its Hunting Heritage Banquet on Jan. 20 at the Winona School District Multipurpose building in Winona.

Doors open at 5 p.m, followed by dinner at 6.
Patrons can support wildlife conservation by purchasing tickets for the Gun-of-the-Year giveaway drawing, featuring a Benelli Super Black Eagle 20-gauge Mossy Oak shotgun. Tickets are $20 each, or get three for $50 or seven for $100. Limited quantities of tickets are available.
Local youth ages 17 and younger who purchase a meal ticket will receive free membership in the Jakes or Extreme Jakes, introducing them to the joys of hunting and outdoor activities, say organizers.
The Current River Callers chapter hosts the annual Jakes Day at Twin Pines Conservation Education Center, Extreme Jakes shooting events, hunting events and an annual scholarship for area students. The proceeds from this banquet help make these programs possible.

For more information or to purchase tickets call 573-292-9983 or 417-274-1964.
