The Mtn. View Garden Club sponsored three Smokey Bear/Woodsy Owl poster contest winners from Mtn. View Elementary school in 2022, who went on to compete in the Central Region contest. From the Central Region contest, posters submitted by Adalie Kruse and Madyson Southworth went onto the national poster contest.
“This is the first time Missouri had a poster go on to the national contest,” said club spokeswoman Robi Tanner. “We are all so proud of this!”
Kruse and Southworth each received a certificate recognizing their entries into the national contest and cash award from the Mtn. View Garden Club.
