Two locals involved in Monday crashes

A Pomona resident suffered moderate injuries in a rollover crash at 7:45 a.m. Monday on County Road 2350, 3 miles south of Pomona in Howell County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tpr. C.C. Battreal, Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a southbound 1998 Ford Ranger driven by Danny L. Harper, 18, ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned.

Harper was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plainsfor treatment, according to the report.

A West Plains driver was involved in a two-vehicle collision that resulted in minor injuries to a Dent County woman.

Tpr. E. Talleur, Troop C of the patrol, Weldon Spring, reported the crash happened at 2:46 p.m. Monday on Interstate 44 at mile marker 242 in Franklin County when a westbound 2007 Lexus RX350 driven by Amanda L. Irwin, 63, Salem, stopped to avoid a collision due to an accident ahead of her.

A westbound 2024 Kenworth T680 driven by Clifford E. Day, 51, West Plains, was unable to stop in time and rear-ended the Lexus, the report shows.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and Irwin was taken by Meramec Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Mo., for treatment, according to the patrol. No injuries were reported for Day.
