The Child Advocacy Center, which operates a satellite office in West Plains, has been recognized as a 2026-2027 Partner in Prevention by Darkness to Light.
The nonprofit is the only organization in Missouri to hold the distinction, which honors a commitment to preventing child sexual abuse through education, training and safe policies.
“Preventing child sexual abuse requires adults to be willing to learn, have uncomfortable conversations, and take action to create safer environments for children,” said Executive Director Katiina Dull.
In addition to serving families impacted by abuse across a 14-county region, the center educates adults using Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children curriculum. The evidence-informed program teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and responsibly respond to child sexual abuse.
