Weekend crashes injure two women

A West Plains woman suffered minor injuries when her pickup truck struck a cow in the road at 8:40 p.m. Friday on Highway 14, 5 miles west of West Plains, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Joann M. Bone, 47, was driving an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado when the accident happened, according to Tpr. L.C. Pruiett with Troop G of patrol, Willow Springs.

Pruiett reported she was wearing a seat belt, and she was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.

Shawnie Maglione, 33, Gainesville, was injured in a crash at 4:14 a.m. Saturday on east U.S. 160, 2 miles east of Isabella in Ozark County.

Tpr. W.A. Wadlington reported an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Patrick R. Cervantes, 33, Gainesville, ran off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox, then overcorrected, ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Cervantes was not injured, but Maglione was taken by Ozark County Ambulance to Baxter Health in Mtn. Home, Ark., for treatment of minor injuries, according to the patrol. Both occupants were reportedly wearing seat belts.
