Cystic fibrosis fundraising supporters Zach and Jessica Stokes, owners of Captain D's in West Plains, have announced their fifth annual Cystic Fibrosis Day, to be held Saturday at the restaurant, 1402 Preacher Roe Blvd.
Since its beginning, it has been held the first Saturday in March, with a portion of sales from dine-in, drive-thru and carryout orders being donated to the annual Cystic Fibrosis Concert. Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains volunteer Lois Frazier said the fundraising day has become a very successful event that many look forward to each year.
Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains volunteers will also be there to sell chances at winning a Kimber 9 mm pistol or a Keltec .22-caliber pistol donated by 4730 Lumber, Randy and Kelly McGinnis and Adam and Mindy Williams.
The concert, in its 36th year, will feature country artist Sara Evans, beginning at 7 p.m. March 16 at the West Plains Civic Center, 110 St. Louis St..
