Posted

A three-vehicle crash at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday in rural Sharp County, Ark., claimed the life of a 26-year-old man from Williford, a community with a population of about 70 people located about 10 miles southeast of Hardy, Ark.

Tpr. First Class Brady Bates, with Troop B of the Arkansas State Police, headquartered in Newport, Ark, reported Lane Eash, 26, was traveling south on U.S. 63, riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson FXSTD motorcycle, when a northbound 2006 Hummer H3 turned into his path, causing the front of the motorcycle to collide with the Hummer’s rear passenger side. The impact then pushed the motorcycle into the northbound lane, where it crashed into the front of an oncoming 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, Bates report.

No injuries were reported for the drivers of the Hummer or the pickup truck, and resultantly, the Arkansas State Police did not publicize their names. It is not reported whether Eash was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.

The report shows the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Tri County Funeral Home in Highland.
