OZH to host free women’s health ‘Ladies Night’

Posted

Ozarks Healthcare will host a free “Ladies Night” focusing on women’s health through every season of life at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The event, which will be held at the Willard-Hunter Classroom in Parcway Center, 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains, brings together local health professionals for an evening of education and conversation. Topics will cover health care needs for teenagers, the reproductive years, perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.

The panel will include Ozarks Healthcare providers Dr. Roxanna Torres, certified nurse

practitioner Jennifer Rhoads, physical therapist Emily Streit and staff from the health system's mammography department. The providers will share information about their specialties, when women may benefit from their services and how different departments work together to support patients.

The evening will include an open question-and-answer session. Guests will also have the opportunity to tour the mobile mammography unit and learn more about local breast health services.

“Women’s health care is not one-size-fits-all, and our needs can change significantly throughout our lives,” said Aimee Jarrett, vice president of ambulatory services at Ozarks Healthcare. “This event is an opportunity for women to learn more about their health, ask questions and connect with providers who can help them navigate each stage of life."

A complimentary fall-inspired meal featuring soup, salad, bread and dessert from Colton’s Steakhouse and Grill will be provided.

The event is free and open to women in the community, but registration is required. To register, call 417-257-6735. For more information about local women’s health services, visit www.ozarkshealthcare.com/services/womens.
