A driver was hurt Wednesday evening in a Texas County crash when her vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. N.B. Poynter with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported that, at 7:35 p.m., a 55-year-old woman was driving a southbound 2008 Pontiac Vibe the ran off the left side of Highway 17, where it collided with the tree. The impact occurred about 5 miles south of Houston in Texas County.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment of moderate injuries, the report shows.
Mansfield pair hurt in collision with driver from Ava
Two Mansfield residents suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 5, a half-mile south of Mansfield in Wright County.
Tpr. Poynter reported a westbound 2019 Chevrolet Cruz driven by a 37-year-old Mansfield woman was making a turn onto the highway and failed to yield, and was struck by a northbound 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 34-year-old Ava man.
The driver of the Chevrolet suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Cox Ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. Her passenger, a 15-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries and was taken by Mercy Ambulance to the same hospital. All occupants were wearing seat belts, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Dodge.
Serious injuries reported following crash near WP
Two drivers suffered serious injuries in a collision at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on CC Highway, 8 miles west of West Plains.
Cpl. J.D. Wheeler reported a northbound 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 71-year-old man from Pomona pulled into the path of an eastbound 2009 Dodge Caravan driven by a 33-year-old Mtn. Grove man.
The driver of the van was wearing a seat belt and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment, the report shows. The Pomona man was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.
Mtn. Home truck driver hurt in crash near Kansas
A 62-year-old Mtn. Home, Ark., man suffered minor injuries when his semi-truck overturned at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 49 at the 127-mile marker in Bates County.
Tpr. M.T. Tucker, with Troop A of the patrol, Lee's Summit, reported the man was northbound in a 2024 Volvo semi-truck when it struck an object in the road, traveled off the right side of the highway, hit a guardrail and overturned. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by Bates County Ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment, the report shows.
Tucker was assisted at the scene by Tpr. T.S. Lutjen and the Bates County Sheriff’s Department.
Willow Springs man injured in ATV crash
An ATV crash resulted in moderate injuries to a 42-year-old Willow Springs man.
Tpr. B.A. Swink reported that at 1:50 a.m. Oct. 3, the man was westbound on a 2008 Can-Am Outlander on County Road 3780, a mile north of Willow Springs, when it struck a stump. The impact caused the rider to be thrown from the vehicle.
The man was not wearing a helmet and was flown by Air Evac to Cox South for treatment, the report shows.
Memphis man hurt in crash near Rockbridge
A 24-year-old Memphis man suffered minor injuries when his vehicle collided with two trees at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 2 on Highway 95, 2 miles northeast of Rockbridge in Ozark County.
Cpl. D.J. Johnson reported the man was driving a southbound 2012 Honda Pilot that ran off the road and struck the trees.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by private vehicle to Baxter Health in Mtn. Home for treatment, the report shows.
Mtn. Grove driver involved in crash near Rogersville
An 85-year-old Ozark woman suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash involving a driver from Mtn. Grove at 4:54 p.m. Oct. 2 on west U.S. 60, 1.5 miles west of Rogersville in Greene County.
Tpr. J.D. Locke, with Troop D of the patrol, Springfield, reported a 23-year-old Mtn. Grove man was driving east in a 2005 Dodge Neon and rear-ended a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by the 85-year-old, forcing the Hyundai into a guardrail. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the Mtn. Grove man.
