Mtn. View-Birch Tree Liberty High School awarded diplomas to 75 seniors the evening of May 16 at Liberty High School, the home of the Eagles, as hundreds of friends, family members, faculty, staff and district administrators congratulated seniors on their achievement and encouraged them in the next chapters of their lives. The ceremony began with the introduction and speeches of Salutatorian Landon Hines and Valedictorian Gavin Reese. Reese presented each of his fellow graduates with an uncirculated 2025 quarter, symbolic of their newly-minted status as adults.

Four new advocates and an assistant have been sworn in as 37th Judicial Court Appointed Special Advocate, taking their oaths of service from Associate Circuit Judge Melissa Stewart. CASA volunteers serve as “the voice of the child” in court cases involving minors and have regular contact with foster children in order to help evaluate their well-being and health in placements, and testify in court hearings regarding state custody. The volunteers have had 30 hours of training and are required to meet continuing education requirements during each year of service.
