A couple of weeks ago, I found myself on the road to Springfield, eager to catch the new Bob Dylan biopic, "A Complete Unknown." The film was, as critics have unanimously praised, fantastic — a masterful portrayal of an enigmatic artist whose influence has rippled through generations. Yet, as compelling as the movie was, it is not the film itself that has lingered with me. Instead, it was the resonance of Dylan's music, a soundtrack to my younger day. more

All programs are open to the public and will be held at Lincoln School, 1400 E. Pony Thomas St., at the north end of Washington Avenue. more

The Mtn. View Garden Club and Smith Flooring recently announced the winners of a poster contest with entries from the Mtn. View and Birch Tree elementary schools. Students were to create hand drawn posters featuring Smokey Bear or Woodsy Owl and their message of wildfire prevention and keeping nature free of pollution. more
